Make your business easier for AI to understand

Practical improvements that help people and search systems understand your business.

Say what you do, in specific terms

A visitor should not need to interpret a slogan to understand your business. Name your service, the customer it serves, and the problem it solves. Where location matters, describe the places you actually serve. Keep those details consistent across your website.

Answer the buying questions

Your customers may want to know whether a service fits their situation, how the work happens, or what affects the cost. Build answers from actual customer conversations. Be explicit about constraints and tradeoffs.

Give each important service a useful home. Clear headings and internal links help a reader move from an initial question to the detail they need.

Support your claims

Replace broad superlatives with information someone can check. Explain your process, show real work with permission, identify authors where appropriate, and keep business contact information current. Do not invent testimonials or client logos to fill a design.

Use structure accurately

Structured data is a machine-readable description of information on a page. Choose types that fit the actual content, keep them accurate, and validate the markup. It is a complement to readable content, not a substitute.

Google's guidance emphasizes that markup should represent visible page content. Adding it does not guarantee a particular search appearance.

Keep the next step obvious

Visibility only helps if an interested person can act. Make your contact route easy to find, describe what happens after an enquiry, and remove broken links. Start with one important page, audit it, improve it, then review the result.
